Our 24 acres of green belt land runs alongside the River Roding on the picturesque border between Epping Forest and Redbridge. With two full size rugby pitches, a full size football pitch, a youth size football pitch, a dedicated multi use training area and several acres of flat grass, our grounds can accommodate a variety of sports and events of all sizes and requirements.

Rugby Pitches

As a rugby club, our pride and joy is the 1st XV rugby pitch. Situated outside the clubhouse, the pitch was completely leveled, resurfaced and drained a few seasons ago, and is now one of the best surfaces in Essex, not having had a game called off due to weather since its inception except during periods of deep snow.

Our 2nd XV pitch, closer to the river, drains naturally and is therefore a perfect surface for any rugby activities.

Our 3rd XV / Football Pitche also provides a perfect surface for any sport.

Home to Old Bancroftians FC, the full size football pitch benefits from the excellent drainage afforded by the River Roding.

Similarly, the junior pitch created by Aim High Junior Soccer Academy provides a terrific playing surface and also has room to expand for 2 more similar sized pitches, allowing the arrangement of junior or five a side tournaments.

Training Area

Separate from the main pitches, the dedicated training area hosts all our specialist rugby equipment, whilst also providing a space large enough to host any non-rugby related activities such as frisbee, bowls and rounders. Car Park

A club with so many simultaneous uses requires plenty of car parking, and Bancroft has an extensive hard standing car park within easy access of the clubhouse and driveway. With space for over 100 cars we can accomodate most events without using the Training Area overspill parking (capacity 200 cars). For major events we can provide parking supervision for your guests safety and convenience.

Our grounds regularly accommodate weekend sports fixtures, however we can host car boot sales, fairs, summer coaching courses and academies, childrens parties and tournaments.
